After looking through a number of CD covers, I can now see the different generic conventions which are regularly used. Most of the CD covers I have looked at have the name of the band clearly stated across the top as well as a picture of the artist. I think these simple conventions are things I will use when making my album cover.

Below is a very well known CD cover. This Cover has a lot of detail in it makes it interesting for buyers to look at. The design is inspiring as it advertises the album well making people want to listen to the music.
